Congratulations to Carlisle CC volunteers.

Three Carlisle CC volunteers have been invited to Lord’s next month as a reward for their contribution to the club and the game in general.

Chairman, Mike Rayson, scorer Geoffrey Osbourne and junior co-ordinater, Bryan Laidlow have all won Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards (OSCAs) in Cumbria.

Mike and Bryan have been recognised for their roles in leading the club’s rebuilding efforts in the wake of the devastating floods of Storm Desmond.

Geoff receives reward for his unstinting efforts in the scorebox and for driving the first eleven to away games.

OSCA winners from across the country get to enjoy a tour of Lord’s, a free meal in a marquee on the Nursery Ground, plus the chance to meet current and former England internationals.
