New nets seal flood recovery work at Carlisle Cricket Club.

Everyone at Carlisle Cricket Club is indebted to Cumbria Waste Management’s Environment Trust for the firm’s generous grant which has enabled us to complete the new four lane practice nets.

The nets are not only an essential practice resource for our four senior teams, but will improve opportunities for our many junior members who rely on quality facilities to improve and enjoy their cricket.

The official opening of the nets by the Trust’s Bob Mather, along with club chairman Mike Rayson and first team captain, Marc Brown sets the seal on much of the flood recovery work undertaken at Edenside.

Improving the old nets after repeated flood damage in recent years was a major priority for the club and we are delighted it has now been made possible.

No excuses now, everyone, practice as you mean to play, with thanks to CWM’s Environment Trust.
